A married couple in their mid-50s is torn apart when the wife suffers a stroke. The battle against the illness and for the survival of their marriage becomes their new everyday life...

When primary school teacher Sabine Schuster (Ann-Kathrin Kramer) unexpectedly suffers a stroke, nothing is the same anymore for her and her husband Stefan (Harald Krassnitzer). For both of them, a gruelling battle against the disease begins, as does the struggle to save their marriage, which has been dormant for some time. When it becomes apparent that Sabine and Stefan may not win the battle against the disease, they must ask themselves whether their love is still strong enough for them to continue their life together...
